Creshendo

Putting ideas into practice.

Creshendo is the nonprofit I founded to strengthen how migrant and refugee communities participate in the systems that affect their lives. We develop migrant-led approaches to integration, storytelling, leadership, and economic mobility, while helping organizations design with communities rather than simply for them. What began as an idea has grown into a global organization of 75+ volunteers, advisors, and leaders.

How we work

Co-design, not consultation

We build alongside the people a program or system is meant to serve, involving them in shaping the problem, decisions, implementation, and learning.

Who we work with

Communities & organizations

We work with migrant communities, nonprofits, companies, universities, funders, and other organizations that want to build differently.

Why it matters

Better systems

The people experiencing a problem often understand things decision-makers cannot see. Bringing that knowledge into the process can lead to stronger decisions and more workable solutions.

Building Creshendo has also meant building the organization behind the mission: its teams, leadership structures, workflows, programs, governance, and systems for working across countries and time zones.
